Objective of Field Day Activities
To work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 60, 30, 17, and 12-meter bands) and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. Field Day is open to all amateurs in the areas covered by the ARRL/RAC Field Organizations and countries within IARU Region 2. DX stations residing in other regions may be contacted for credit, but are not eligible to submit entries.
Visit the ARRL Field Day Page for more information.

Field Day Chairman: Mike Panopoulos, VE3ATX
Mike, VE3ATX, will be holding the first planning meeting for Field Day 2016 at the East Plains United Church at 7:00 PM Tuesday June 7th, 2016. A Hackspace meeting is not usually planned the week after the General Meeting so we will start our planning then and we will be using the two Hackspace nights before Field Day for more planning. We are planning to use tents to set up 4 stations plus a solar station.
This is open to all BARC members whether you have any experience or not. In fact, it is the best way to get started using HF, even if you just come out to visit or log contacts for the operators. Mike will provide all the information and procedures we require to make and log our contacts.
Let Mike know you want to join the fun this year by contacting him here
